Alaina Bloodworth

Executive Director, Black Public Defender Association 

Alaina Bloodworth is the Executive Director of BPDA and a former public defender in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She has led initiatives to diversify defender offices, spearheaded community campaigns that exposed police corruption, and guided national projects supporting Black defenders.

  • Community lawyering and systemic advocacy
  • Recruitment and pipeline development
