Community-Wide Trainings

BPDA’s Community-Wide Trainings bring defenders together from across the country in both in-person and virtual formats. These programs create space for shared learning, collaboration, and collective growth. Participants strengthen their skills, engage with leading faculty, and reflect on what it means to advocate through an antiracist lens in community with peers.

Why Community-Wide Trainings?

Community-wide offerings complement our office-specific programs by creating opportunities defenders rarely get in their day-to-day work:

  • National community: Learn alongside peers from across the country.
  • Extended formats: Multi-day sessions allow for deeper practice, reflection, and connection.

Specialized topics: Tackle skills and issues that benefit from collective exploration
