One of BPDA’s central goals is to create resources that ensure that Black law students are able to access and succeed in public defense as a profession for the empowerment of marginalized communities. Through the Law School Initiative Program, BPDA is creating a pipeline of programs for future law students and help current law students develop the skills and knowledge needed to access future public defense opportunities and manage student debt. The BPDA Law School Initiative includes the following components:
